Q: How do I inject my medication?
A: Please Scan the QR code on your welcome sheet to access a step-by-step demonstration.

Q: How often should I inject my medication?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                A: Weekly. Preferably on the same day each week.

Q: Is there any type of food that I should consume more or less when I am on the medication?                                                                                                                                            A: It is advisable to drink plenty of water and eat a lot of protein filled foods. Protein bars are also a good choice. This way you lose the fat and retain the muscle.

Q: Why are the units to inject different from last time or different from another pharmacy?
A: Injection units are determined by the strength or potency of the vial. Variations are normal and don’t indicate an error. We dispense the most cost-effective option for you, ensuring accurate calculations through triple checks by our pharmacist.

Q: Why is the color of my medication different from last time?
A: Colors depend on whether it contains Vitamin B6 or B12. Vitamin B12 has a natural red color, reflecting in compounded medications vs B6 is clear in color. These B vitamins along with Semaglutide or Tirzepatide provides added benefits.

Q: How much weight will I lose?
A: Weight loss varies among individuals. Stay hydrated, eat healthily, and incorporate exercise for quicker results.

Q: Where should I administer my injection?
A: Inject into your stomach (2 inches away from belly button), upper arm, or thigh, rotating sites for each dose. No specific body part enhances medication effectiveness;
personal preference may play a role.

Q: Why should I rotate injection sites?
A: Rotating sites prevent scar tissue buildup, ensuring effective absorption of the medication.

Q: What are the side-effects?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            A: The side-effects vary for each person. We have noticed that some patients experience temporary headaches, nasuea, and/or constipation. For many patients, this can occur on day 1 after taking the medication or  week(s) later for other patients.  Then we have some patients who do not experience any side-effects at all.  We do recommend taking the medication before going to bed. This way you could sleep off any possible side effects.

Q: Do I stay with the same dosage or should I increase/decrease?                                                                                                                                                                                              A: It varies. There are some  patients that stay on the same dosage throughout their term. Then there are those that need to taper up to get the expected results.  We advise you to speak to your physician and decide on the appropriate dosage for your weight loss goals.

Q: Is compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide the same at all pharmacies?                                                                                                                                                                                A: Each pharmacy could have their own forumula and use various ingredients in their medication.  Thus, weight loss results for the patient can vary.
